Envera compared with Max Security USA

Envera alternative: a security company that staffs the day and watches the night.

Envera is a Florida virtual gate guard company. For guard hours on site, it pairs its overnight virtual guard with a guard company the community hires separately. Max Security USA is a security company that staffs the booth by day with its own licensed security guards or trusted partners, and works the gate at night from its own monitoring center.

Our take.

Envera is the bigger specialist in its two states. Community security is its whole business, and it says it serves over 1,000 residential communities in Florida and Texas. Max Security USA started as a security company and does the whole job in house: licensed security guards in the booth, remote guarding from our own monitoring center, security gates and installation, in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Arizona and Maryland.

The choice usually comes down to who staffs the day. Envera’s hybrid pairs its virtual guard with a guard company the community hires separately. We staff the booth with our own licensed security guards or a trusted security company partner, and take the night from our monitoring center, so one security company arranges both shifts.

Envera fits if

  • Your community is in Texas, where Envera works and we do not.
  • Scale in Florida matters most to your board.
  • Your residents already use MyEnvera and you want to keep it.
  • You need no guard on site, or you are keeping your current guard company for the day.

We fit if

  • You want licensed security guards in the booth for the busy hours and a virtual guard for the rest, arranged by one security company.
  • Your community is in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Arizona and Maryland.
  • You want the equipment usually included and a 90-day trial before you commit.
  • You want the resident platform free, whether or not you buy guarding.
  • You want the booth itself watched on camera from the same monitoring center that takes the night.

What changes when we run both shifts.

The hybrid idea is the same at both companies. What differs is who staffs the day.

Guards we employ or trust

Envera’s hybrid pairs its overnight virtual guard with a day guard from a company the community hires. We staff the booth with Max Security USA licensed security guards or a trusted security company partner, and our licensed security guards take the night.

One log across the changeover

The day guard and the night watch work from the same records, and the shift is handed over in writing. When a board asks what happened at 2 a.m., there is one record to read.

The booth is watched too

Every booth we operate is on camera inside and out, watched from the monitoring center that takes the night. The day guard has a second pair of eyes on the entrance, and the board has an answer about any shift.

Installed by our own team

Cameras, gates and access control are installed by Max Security USA’s own team, or by a trusted vendor supervised by Max Security supervisors. The equipment is usually included at no extra charge, and existing equipment stays where it does the job.

How our hybrid schedule works, from the morning handover to the night watch

Where Envera is the better fit.

Where, on the facts, Envera is ahead of us.

Scale and specialism

Community security is Envera’s whole business, under that name since 2007. It says it serves “over 1,000 residential communities” (August 2026), in Florida and Texas. If sheer size in those states matters most to your board, that is Envera.

Texas

Envera works in several Texas counties. We do not work in Texas. If your community is there, Envera is the one of us that can help.

A kiosk that reads the licence today

Envera’s kiosk reads driver’s licences itself: “Automatic Driver’s License Recognition.” Ours are checked by a licensed security guard on camera until our AI kiosk is ready. If an unattended licence scan matters most to your board now, that is Envera.

An app residents already know

MyEnvera is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 11,000 ratings on Apple’s App Store (checked September 30, 2026). That is a long record of residents using it. If your residents rely on it today, keeping it counts for something.

FAQ

Questions boards ask when they compare us with Envera.

Yes. Envera Systems is a Florida company whose main service is its Virtual Gate Guard: remote staff at an operations center who screen visitors over two-way audio and one-way video. It also sells access control, video surveillance, barrier gates and guard software, and it works in over 30 Florida counties and several in Texas.

Not its own, going by its site. Envera’s hybrid option has an on-site guard “from the community’s preferred company” use its software by day, and its HOA page says “Not a Staffing Agency.” Max Security USA staffs booths with its own licensed security guards or trusted security company partners.

Envera’s FAQ lists over 30 counties in Florida and several in Texas. Max Security USA works in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Arizona and Maryland.

Envera does not publish a price list; its FAQ says it customizes its solutions to each community. Our remote and hybrid guarding is also quoted per site after a survey, and the resident platform residents use is free.

Start with your current contract: its term, its notice period and who owns the equipment at the gate, because that decides what stays when the service changes. Then we survey the gate, the cameras, the intercom, gate control and the connection, and quote the day and night hours. Existing equipment stays where it does the job, new equipment is usually included, and we can offer a 90-day trial.
