New York State · Office in Huntington
Community security in New York, run from Jericho Turnpike.
Our office is at 709 W Jericho Tpke, Huntington, NY 11743, near the Long Island Expressway. That address sets how far we can send a patrol car or an installer. It sets nothing about the software, which is why the free platform goes to any community in the state.
- Platform free statewide
- No contract, no card
- Set up by us, over a call

The platform is free for any community in New York, from a Suffolk subdivision to a co-op in Queens. Max Security USA is a guarding company, founded and led by decorated law enforcement veterans. We built the platform for the boards we already work with, and it is free whether or not we ever stand at your gate.
Communities we work with include Country Pointe Preserve in Yaphank, New York.
Virtual and hybrid gate guarding
Virtual gate guards for New York HOAs.
New York communities can have a licensed security guard work the gate from our monitoring center: answering the call box, checking each visitor against the community’s live records, opening or refusing, and watching the entrance on your cameras between arrivals.
Greeted as they pull up
The licensed security guard at our monitoring center sees the car pull up on your cameras and greets the visitor right away, without the visitor pressing anything. The guard checks the pass, then opens or refuses.
A guard by day, virtual at night
A common schedule keeps a licensed security guard in the booth for the busy daytime hours and goes virtual for the other sixteen. Both halves come from Max Security USA or trusted partners.
Equipment usually included
We work with the cameras and intercom you have, and new equipment is usually included at no extra charge. We can offer a 90-day trial, and the resident platform stays free either way.
A virtual guard is the one service that reaches the whole state. The monitoring center works a gate in Saratoga the same way it works one in Suffolk. Guards on site and patrol cars stay closer to our office in Huntington.
Where we can and cannot go
What we can do depends on how far you are from Huntington.
Every firm’s website claims the whole state. Few could post a guard at a gate in Watertown by Thursday. Here is where we really reach.
Vehicles, guards and installs
Long Island and the city
Nassau and Suffolk are home ground, and the five boroughs are a short run from the office. Guard posts, patrol routes, camera installs and access control here are a normal working morning out of Huntington.
Surveyed and quoted per site
Westchester, Rockland and the Hudson Valley
We work here regularly, but the drive is long enough to be its own line on the quote. We price it and show it to you. If a firm nearer to you can post a guard for less, we would rather say so than pretend the mileage is free.
Platform only, and we say so up front
The Capital Region, Central and Western New York
Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and the Southern Tier get the same free platform, set up over a call. No patrol car of ours is coming up the Thruway, and we will not pretend one is. Hire your guards locally and run them on the platform at no cost.
On the ground here
Four things that come up on New York board calls.
Single-entrance subdivisions, the parkways and the East End season are on the Long Island page. These four come up anywhere in the state.
Co-op and condominium boards, as well as HOAs
New York has more co-operative housing than any other state, and a co-op board holds its authority differently from a condominium board or a homeowners association. The software does not mind which you are. Who may approve a vendor, waive a rule or read the entry log is set role by role, to match your by-laws.
Buildings with a desk instead of a gate
A great many New York buildings have no gate at all. They have a lobby, a desk and a steady stream of guests, deliveries and trades. The platform works the same way there: residents pre-register their guests, the desk checks them in, and the entry log shows who came in and when.
Winter, and what arrives during it
The plough comes at four in the morning, and nobody wants a resident phoning the desk to let it in. A recurring vendor window with an end date handles it. The contractor is admitted at four, the window closes in April, and the log shows which nights the truck actually came.
Volunteer fire and ambulance crews
Outside the big cities, most of New York is covered by volunteer fire departments, and their responders arrive in their own cars, fast. Your standing orders for that moment need to be written down, read and acknowledged, because the person at the desk at two in the morning cannot ring a supervisor who left last spring. In our guard app for iPhone and Android, now in testing, they are on the guard’s screen and each guard acknowledges them.
Where our vehicles and guards reach
These are towns we work in. None of them is being claimed as a customer. If yours is missing but sits in this part of the state, ask us. The answer is almost always yes.

How it works
How a New York community gets set up
There is no sign-up button, on purpose. The platform issues access to real people at a real address, so we verify every community first and set it up with you on a call.
Step 1: Fifteen minutes on the phone
Where you are, how many homes and entrances you have, and whether a patrol car or an installer makes sense at your distance from Huntington.
Step 2: We verify and configure
We confirm the board and the property, then build the entrances, units, rules and resident roster ourselves. Your counsel can look over the recording and retention settings before anything goes live.
Step 3: Guards first, then residents
Whoever works your entrance is trained before a single resident is invited. Then the community goes live, and we stay on support.
FAQ
What New York boards ask us first.
Coverage, licensing, cost and the law, answered for this state. If your question is not here, ask it on the first call. It is easier to answer there than at a board meeting at nine at night.
Do you offer virtual gate guards anywhere in New York State?
Yes. Remote gate guarding reaches the whole state from our monitoring center, because all it needs is cameras with a usable view, an intercom, a gate that opens remotely and a connection with a backup. A licensed security guard answers the call, checks the pass and opens or refuses. Equipment is usually included, and we can offer a 90-day trial.
Do you actually serve my town, or only Long Island?
The free platform reaches anywhere in New York State. It runs on phones and browsers and has no geography. The physical side does. Our office is at 709 W Jericho Tpke, Huntington, so Nassau, Suffolk and the five boroughs are closest for guards and installers. Westchester and the lower Hudson Valley are surveyed per site. Further out, you take the platform and hire guards locally. Remote gate guarding is the exception: it reaches the whole state from our monitoring center.
Are your guards licensed in New York, and what does that actually require?
Guards register with the Department of State under the Security Guard Act. That means an eight-hour pre-assignment course, sixteen hours of on-the-job training within ninety days, and an annual refresher. The company posting them holds an agency license under Article 7. Every guard we post is registered under that framework, and you can ask any provider, including us, to show the paperwork.
How quickly can somebody physically get to us if something happens?
We do not publish a blanket response time. One number that covered both Syosset and Poughkeepsie would be wrong for at least one of them. You get a real one for your address during the site survey. The monitoring center is staffed around the clock either way, so the first response is a person already watching your gate.
Is the platform genuinely free here, or is there a New York surcharge?
It is free, and the price does not change by county: no subscription, no per-resident fee, no setup charge. The only costs anywhere are text messaging (billed per message, and only if you switch it on), access control integration (hardware plus a licensed installer, quoted per site), and white labeling. Guarding, patrol and cameras are separate services, and none of them is required to run the free platform.
We are a co-op or condominium board with a lobby and no gate. Does any of this apply?
Yes. In New York this is the more common shape, and nothing in the platform assumes a barrier. A doorman logs arrivals at the desk the same way a gate guard would. Residents pre-register their guests. Roles are set to match your by-laws instead of a homeowners association’s.
What does New York law let us record at the gate or in the lobby?
This is the general position and not legal advice. New York is a one-party consent state for audio under the Penal Law, which is lighter than Florida, where every party must consent. Video in a gatehouse or a lobby is ordinary. A changing room or anything like it is not, and we would never put a camera in one. We put signage, spoken notice and retention in writing with your board. None of it is left at a default.
What happens at the gate during a nor’easter, an ice storm or a power cut?
The gate keeps working. A pass already saved to a guest’s phone still reads at the barrier. Guards admit visitors from the stored roster and log entries offline, and it all reconciles when the connection comes back. Coastal Nassau and Suffolk sit in hurricane evacuation zones, so emergency broadcast is never held back, and we check backup power on the site survey, long before the first outage tests it.
None of this is legal advice, and where an answer turns on your governing documents or on New York law, we say so. Read the privacy policy and the terms, or email [email protected].

Tell us your town and we will tell you what we can do there.
The free platform is yours either way. If you are close enough to Huntington for a patrol car or an installer to make sense, we will say so. If you are not, we will say that too, and you still get the software.
