Integrations

What we connect to today, and what we do not.

This is what Maximum.Community works with today: Apple Wallet passes, email, text messages, plate reads from cameras that read the plate themselves, tablet kiosks and door stations, and SIP calls from the gate. Access control connectors are rolling out by quote, one site at a time. Property-management software and Google Wallet are not supported.

The whole list, in one table.

The status is for the software. Anything it needs at your gate, from a camera to the kiosk itself, is hardware, settled at the survey. Each row links to the page that explains it.

Live today
Apple WalletLive todayiPhone guests can add the pass from the link. The card names the guest for the guard; it does not open an unattended kiosk or door station. Visitor management
EmailLive todayInvitations, notices and announcements by email, free and unlimited. Pricing
Text messages (SMS)Live todaySent through our carrier, and charged only if your community switches SMS on. Pricing
Plate-reading camerasLive todayCameras that read the plate themselves and upload each capture with the plate in the file name. Cameras and monitoring
Tablet kiosk and door stationsLive todayThe kiosk takes a directory search, entry codes and QR passes, and our server decides every open. Door stations offer the directory and scan QR passes. Access control
SIP telephonyLive todayThe kiosk directory rings the resident’s app or phone, and Call security rings the guard on duty, in the booth or at our monitoring center. Remote guarding
SpreadsheetsLive todayResident lists come in from a spreadsheet, and we do the import. The resident list and visitor log export the same way. Property managers

Access control connectorsBy quotePasses and the app open gates and doors through your panel or opener, and credentials follow the resident record. Access control

Four things to check at your gate first.

Live today does not mean live at every gate. Whether an integration works at yours starts with these four questions.

Does the camera read plates itself?

At the gate, plate reads come from cameras, or their recorders, that read the plate and upload each capture with the plate in the file name. For gate entry we do not read plates from ordinary video. If yours only record, you hear it on the first call.

What is the call box on?

A call box on a standard phone line or an IP intercom can reach our monitoring center. Our own tablet kiosk and door stations call over SIP.

Can the gate be opened remotely?

A pass, the kiosk or the app can only open a gate with a relay or controller our server can trigger. Without one, the guard or the resident opens the barrier, as today.

Does the internet reach the gate?

The kiosk needs a connection for every decision, because every open is decided on our server. The survey checks the link and its backup before anything is quoted.

Reading plates and watching video are different jobs. A camera that only records can still be watched live from our monitoring center if it can do that job, whatever its brand. That side is cameras and monitoring.

Access control: by quote, and no brand list yet.

Connectors to access control panels and gate openers are rolling out by quote, one site at a time. We confirm the one for your panel or opener at the survey, rather than print a wall of logos we have not seen working at your gate.

Without one, nothing at the gate stops working. Opening the gate from the resident app is something we switch on per community, for gates with no guard.

What the platform link does, and what we install at the gate

What we do not connect to.

Said plainly here, so nobody finds out at the demo.

Property-management and accounting software.

Nothing syncs today with AppFolio, Buildium, Vantaca or any other management or accounting system. The platform is the gate and the property record, not dues, budgets or accounting. Your resident list arrives as a spreadsheet, we import it, and the resident list and visitor log export as spreadsheets when you need them elsewhere.

Google Wallet.

We issue Apple Wallet cards only. A guest on Android opens the same link in the browser, with the QR code that refreshes and the six-digit code for the entrance kiosk. The refreshing code is what the guard, the kiosk and a door station check, on any phone; a Wallet card only names the guest.

A national plate-reader network.

Plate reads are never pooled into a national ALPR network, and we never sell them. They belong to the community.

Police hot lists.

We do not connect to police hot lists. A plate alert comes from the community’s own deny list, a deny entry on its watchlist or an open BOLO, and the guard’s screen flags it.

We are the wrong fit today if your board needs gate data flowing into its accounting system by itself, a wallet card for guests who mostly carry Android, or stolen-car alerts from police lists at the gate. Better to read that here than hear it on the call.

FAQ

Does it work with…? Questions boards ask.

No. It does not connect to any property-management or accounting software today. Resident lists come in as a spreadsheet that we import, and the resident list and visitor log export as spreadsheets.

No. The only wallet card we issue is Apple Wallet. A guest on Android opens the pass link in the browser, which shows the QR code that refreshes and the six-digit code for the entrance kiosk. The refreshing code is what the guard, the kiosk and a door station check, on any phone. An Apple Wallet card only names the guest, so the guard checks who they are first, and a kiosk or door station sends them to the guard.

Connectors are rolling out by quote, one site at a time, and we confirm your panel or opener at the survey rather than print a brand list. Tell us the make and model on the first call. What the link does is on our access control page.

For plate reads at the gate, yes if the cameras already read plates and upload each capture with the plate in the file name. For gate entry we do not read plates from ordinary video. For watching the property, what matters is whether the camera can do the job, not its brand. Both are settled at the survey.

It can, if it runs on a standard phone line or is an IP intercom, and with remote guarding the call then rings a licensed security guard at our monitoring center. The survey settles whether your unit qualifies, and whether the gate can open remotely and stay connected with a backup, before anyone quotes.

No. Reads are never pooled into a national ALPR network, never sold, and not matched against police hot lists. They belong to the community.

Bring the list of what is at your gate.

Fifteen minutes on the phone: the cameras, the call box, the gate opener and the access control panel. We tell you which of them the platform works with today, and what would be quoted.
